What is the Text to Video feature?

Text to Video converts a written idea or script into a fully produced video. You type in a topic, paste your own script, or upload a file and ByThen generates the visuals, narration, scene structure, and pacing to match. It's built for long-form, story-driven content.

Do I need to write a script first, or does ByThen generate one?

Either way works. You can type a topic or idea and let ByThen generate the full script for you, you need at least 30 characters to trigger generation. Or you can bring your own finished script by pasting it in or uploading a .doc or .pdf file, skipping the generation step entirely.

Can I edit the script before visuals are generated?

Yes. After generation, you land on a Script Preview page where you can read through, edit, and approve the script. You can also assign a voiceover narrator at this stage. Only once you're happy do you move forward to the Key Visual step.

What happens after I approve the script?

ByThen generates a Key Visual, your video's visual identity is based on the script and your Content Profile. Once you confirm the Key Visual, it builds the full Storyboard with scenes and clips. Then you move into the Editor Tool to fine-tune and export.

Can I edit the video after the storyboard is generated?

Yes. Editor Tool gives you full control: trim clips, swap visuals, adjust narration, change pacing, add captions, generate new assets, add music and sound effects, change aspect ratio and more all before exporting.

Can I regenerate just one scene without redoing the whole video?

Yes. Inside the Storyboard and Editor Tool, individual clips and scenes can be regenerated independently. You don't need to start over if one section isn't working.

How long can a Text to Video be?

ByThen is built for long-form content, so there's no short hard cap. Video length is driven by your script's length and the pacing you set. Longer scripts with more sections produce longer videos with more scenes.

What platforms can I publish to after exporting?

ByThen exports as MP4, which works on every major platform. The aspect ratio options are 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, and 4:5 which cover YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Instagram Feed, LinkedIn, and more. ByThen doesn't publish directly to platforms, you export and upload yourself.
